Rock Concert

We spent several weeks learning about different types of rocks and their properties. Here are a few of the activities we participated in to help us:

We learned about igneous rocks by
putting a package of Mentos into a bottle
of soda, shaking it up, and standing back
to watch it explode!

We used several food items, pressure,
and heat to create our own edible
sedimentary rocks. Sarai shows
her rock.

Here is what we learned from our

We used two different types of bread,
added pressure, and created our own
metamorphic rocks. Miya waits to
